Case: Carl Hansen & Søn at 3 Days of Design

In June 2024, renowned furniture maker Carl Hansen & Søn invited us to cater and serve their event at 3 Days of Design.

With hundreds of daily visitors, the event needed to provide a seamless, high-quality catering experience for both staff and guests throughout the 3 days.

The Challenge

Carl Hansen & S'n required catering for a high-volume event, serving everything from morning coffee and pastries to lunch, dessert, and drinks.

Our challenge was to deliver exceptional food and beverages while keeping sustainability at the forefront of every aspect of the service.

With the event spanning three days, we were tasked with offering a consistent, high-quality service to a diverse crowd, including media, industry professionals, and design enthusiasts.

We served 600+ coffees per day, alongside breakfast, lunch, desserts, wine, and kombucha, all while maintaining a strong focus on sustainability, from sourcing to service.

Our Vision

Our team set out to design a tailored experience that matched the quality and craftsmanship of Carl Hansen & S'n's furniture.

To reflect the design focus, we created miniature versions of our best selling pastries, stacking them like sculptures atop Carl Hansen’s iconic designs.

We worked closely with Carl Hansen throughout the process, to ensure a smooth experience and food and drinks of the highest quality, with an emphasis on sustainability throughout the event.

Execution

We managed the large-scale catering smoothly with careful preparation and coordination.

Our experienced baristas handled the high coffee volume with ease, ensuring that every coffee was brewed to perfection, finished with the most Instagrammable latte art, and served with a smile.

The food was prepared fresh daily, using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.

  • Morning: The aroma of freshly brewed espresso and artisanal pastries greeted guests as they arrived, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for the start of each day.
  • Lunch: A seasonal selection of savory pastries and salads, paired natural wines and kombucha offered the guests a refreshing midday break.
